The third wave of the swimming ban provides an opportunity for conversation and games. The jurors, together with the artists in attendance, reflect on the impact of the current restrictions on art.

Performance: Alexandra Gschiel & Markus Wilfling – “Spielen”
In response to current events, a performative situation unfolds in which a couple, clad in transparent protective suits, begins a primal form of ball play: that of throwing back and forth.
Theoretically, this form of play could have established itself as a communication strategy (during hunting) prior to (or concurrently with) the development of human language. A human interaction with one another, toward one another, but also against one another, to experience closeness and distance while throwing objects. Exercises that served the practical purpose (hunting) and subsequently detached themselves from it as an independent activity.
Perhaps it was children who discovered these actions as a game in their own right, while simultaneously practicing them through repetition out of a need to imitate.
Before or during the bubble bath, the game is performed with a balloon. The audience is involved as participants, creating a dynamic structure that focuses attention on the object. The peculiarity of the material (silicone-like plastic) and the resulting form of movement create an analogy to the unpredictability of certain life forms. (The audience is given disposable gloves.)
