Talk „Transparency. Social and Political Atmospheres through Mirrors.“

In a mediated talk Giovanna Repetto will reflect on her artistic research in dialogue with Jasmin Haselsteiner-Scharner and Jakob Bock.

Giovanna Repetto is a multimedia artist. Her research is guided by an investigation of representation as a dynamic and relational device. Her work examines how technology and visual culture shape identity and transform our relationship with reality.

Jakob Bock is an artist based at the shared atelier „Wanne“ at Schaumbad. At the talk he discusses the findings of his masters thesis „Mirror, Mirror on the Curtain Wall“ in regard to Giovanna Repettos artistic research.

Jasmin Haselsteiner-Scharner is an art historian, lecturer and the aristic executive director of Schaumbad. She will guide the talk along the broader context of the use of mirrors in art.

The talk will be held in english.
